John Tyhacz, Vice President and General Manager of Honeywell’s Environmental and Combustion Controls (ECC) business, along with Honeywell’s 2009 “Tekne Award.”
Honeywell won a 2009 “Tekne Award,” which recognizes Minnesota’s outstanding technology achievements and leaders, for the development of RedLINK™ Wireless Technology, the first wireless technology and suite of wireless products designed specifically for HVAC applications.
Presented by the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA), in partnership with LifeScience Alley and Enterprise Minnesota, the Tekne Awards honor companies and individuals who have shown superior technology innovation and leadership in Minnesota.
RedLINK was introduced in the fall of 2008, along with a complete lineup of wireless thermostats, temperature zoning systems and accessories designed to solve what used-to-be installation problems and meet homeowners comfort needs. RedLINK wireless technology products eliminate the need to run wires in many applications and enables homeowners to have advanced comfort control anywhere in the home.
