Honeywell Aerospace received the Aviation Technology Achievement Award for IntuVue™ 3D color weather radar at the kick-off event for the 2010 Singapore Air Show.
In presenting the award, Perry Flint, editorial director of Air Transport World, said systems developed by Honeywell and Rockwell Collins play a vital role in improving safety of flight, reducing turbulence-related injuries and boosting operational efficiency.
“Competition drives innovation and technological advancement. As Rockwell Collins and Honeywell Aerospace have sought to leapfrog each other in weather radar technology, the beneficiaries have been flight crews and the flying public,” said Flint.
