Honeywell announced a new moving map upgrade to its JetMap® III technology, including worldwide 3-D perspective views of terrain and ocean topography, enhanced graphics, and polar ice views. JetMap III provides real-time flight data, passenger situational awareness information, and data services for news, business, weather, and sports.
JetMap III with 3-D perspective maps allows passengers and crew to customize settings through the use of a handheld remote control. Passengers have the ability to turn features on and off, make changes to display pages, and save settings both on the ground and in the air. Current JetMap II users can upgrade to JetMap III through the simple replacement of the removable compact flash memory card.
