Honeywell Aerospace’s Chief Technology Officer, Bob Smith, recently discussed the aviation industry and his passion for aerospace with Mia Saini of Forbes.com.
In the segment, called “Honeywell’s Space Guy,” Saini asks Smith about his passion for aerospace, engine design, and innovation and how he became interested in technology.
“I had a moment in which I was working on the space shuttle program and I had a good team of colleagues that worked very well together – we all had a shared purpose,” said Smith. “We were all trying to make something new, innovative in a technology area. We were watching a launch with our hardware going up. It was at that moment we all said, ‘This is why we’re in this industry. This is what gets us excited. This is what we love.’”
