Honeywell Chairman and CEO Dave Cote was ranked second in Rittenhouse Rankings annual CEO Candor Survey™ for his 2009 Letter to Shareholders. The survey results reveal that of the Fortune 500 companies surveyed, the companies in the top quartile outperformed companies in the bottom quartile by 31 percent.
Rittenhouse Rankings is a New York-based investor relations firm and has been analyzing the candor of CEOs’ letters to shareholders for 10 years. The companies surveyed represent a cross-section of Fortune 500 companies based on capitalization, industry sector, financial performance, and corporate reputation.
